Who am I?
As a filmmaker, I tend to gravitate towards FinalCut Pro in times when the bottled up emotions need to pour out. Words do not form so easily in my mouth anymore, but the layering of moving images and sounds still holds some expressive power for me. In a world where brand is everything, many projects bury themselves in the mind’s archives or ssd— never actualized because they are incoherent with this manufactured “identity” or nested away because such deviation from expectations wouldn’t perform well for an audience anyways. As a compromise, I will use this blog section to perhaps share some of my little projects. They will be unlisted so as not to disrupt the brand, but will be shared here since I am not just a brand. I am more than the marketable parts.
Here is a quick video I made a couple of years ago to introduce myself. I’m not sure if it tells you guys much about me, but it definitely gave me the space to reflect on how I have grown through the juxtaposition of similar acts in wildly different life contexts.
