Stephanie Froebel is a wildlife and cultural documentarian specializing in stories at the intersection of human culture and wild ecologies.

Across her work, she takes a community-first approach, blending investigative field reporting with ethnographic observation to translate complex environmental issues for public audiences. She has collaborated with international conservation and climate organizations, spanning South Asia, Madagascar, and South America. Currently, she hosts the Resilience Tracks Podcast, connecting youth conservationists internationally, while continuing research on human and more-than-human cultural histories in India, Pakistan, and her home base of San Francisco.

Rooted in umwelt theory, conservation ethics, and empathy-driven narratives, Stephanie’s approach is deeply reflective and grounded in lived experience. She works to honor both human and nonhuman voices in her storytelling, creatively challenging viewers to reconsider the frameworks of wildlife representation.
