About Stephanie Froebel

about ME

Stephanie Froebel is an emerging documentary filmmaker, writer, and visual storyteller whose work seeks to foster deep relationships by exploring diverse communities and ecosystems.

As an Applied Humanities and Ecology student at Minerva University, where she’s lived in seven countries across four continents, Stephanie fuses academic research with immersive field experiences. From the Bolivian Amazon to the coasts of Madagascar, Stephanie will set foot wherever people guide her, committing time to understand and celebrate the cultural and ecological diversity that paints this planet.

Rooted in umwelt theory, conservation ethics, and empathy-driven narratives, Stephanie’s approach is deeply reflective and grounded in lived experience. She works to honor both human and nonhuman voices in her storytelling, creatively challenging viewers to reconsider the frameworks of wildlife representation.
